Loreto...a magic town!

Loreto, magical town, is considered the first human settlement of Baja California Sur; in it, in the Sierra de San Francisco, you can see some extraordinary rock paintings and petroglyphs dating back at least a thousand years; It's like time travel; In addition, these murals have been considered by UNESCO for their special protection.

Loreto is shocking for many reasons; It seems to be a place where only the most fortunate live. It retains the tradition of a fishing village, is far from everything and yet you will be surprised how easy it is to get to this almost secret place. The Sea of Cortez and the Sierra de la Giganta have witnessed the history of this town and you can describe it resting in the crystal clear waters of the beach, visiting the Dancing Island or the Colorado Island; You can also see whales.
